My grandma, who is now 92 years old, worked as a lunch lady when my mom was younger. She made this ground beef stroganoff for the children for lunch. She would make it for her own family and she called it “homemade school lunch.” My mom made this for me ever since I can remember. This was one of my family’s staple dinners growing up and my favorite meal. I now make it for my family. We still call it Homemade School Lunch.
