Cowboys, farmers, horse thieves, and city slickers have been enjoying these old fashioned cookies for years. My Great Grandmother made these for my mom when she was a child and my mother made them for my family. I now make them for my children and they are a family favorite. Each time I taste them they bring back a childhood memory of my Mom baking in the kitchen and me waiting by the oven window for them to be done.

These cookies are a mixture of everything delicious! They are the only cookie my kids will eat with raisins and the only cookie that we make with all lard. We love the mixture of coconut, nuts, chocolate, raisins, and oatmeal. We hope you do too!
