Banana Bread made with pork lard = Amazing! This is our family’s tried and true Banana Bread recipe. By sharing this we might as well say, “Come on in Old Friend and kick your feet up.” Its not too sweet and packed with protein so you feel good letting your kids eat it. Pork lard is the secret weapon to this healthy and yummy Banana Bread. Amazingly delicious banana bread that has a perfect crunch on the outside and moist inside.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees (177 degrees c). Lightly grease two loaf pans.
In a large mixer or bowl cream together sugar, lard, and butter. Add eggs and blend for 30 seconds. Then add flour, baking soda, and vanilla. Blend for two more minutes. Fold in walnuts if desired. Pour batter into prepared pan.
Bake in preheated oven for 55- 65 minutes, until a knife inserted into center of the loaf comes out clean.
